Founded by West Island volunteers, the Shelter depends on their dedication and ongoing support. Volunteering is essential to community organizations such as ours. This enhances the quality of services that our limited budget cannot otherwise provide. It also allows volunteers to recognize and use their skills and talents while contributing to social change. By choosing to give their time to the Shelter, our volunteers show their commitment and become an integral part of our team.
To volunteer, you must:
Meet with the human resources and program director and to discuss the possible parallel between your interests and the needs of the resource.
- Commit to pursue the mission of the corporation.
- Sign a confidentiality agreement with the association.
- Attend a training offered by the Shelter
- Provide medium to long term availabilities and commitment
